As an Assistant Teacher in our Early Childhood Education (ECE) program, you will partner with the lead classroom teacher to implement lesson plans, cultivate age/grade level development, provide safety and supervision, and teach the love of Jesus. You will receive mentorship and training, regular check-ins from your leadership team, and professional development and goal-setting. • Hours: Monday through Friday, 12:00-5:30 (27.5 hours per week)

• Schedule: Academic Year (August 1 through May 30)

• Age Level: 1’s Room (older 1-year-olds and younger 2-year-olds)

Join the CCLS mission as an ECE float assistant!

• Hours: school-day hours, such as 8:15-3:30

• Options: select either 2 days per week or 3 days per week

• Schedule: Academic Year (August 1 through May 30)

• Location: select either Glendale or Kirkwood campus

As a float assistant, you provide support to the Early Childhood Education (ECE) team by providing an additional set of hands for an extra-busy classroom or subbing in for a staff member who may be out that day. Unlike being on a “sub list,” you have a consistent schedule and are considered a regular member of the staff. When you arrive, you check in with the Campus Manager to learn which classroom needs your help that day. This role is perfect if you simply want to roll up your sleeves and serve where needed – or if you want to learn from master teachers and consider an ECE teaching career of your own. Ideal school  hours allow you to enjoy your own after-school activities or just beat the rush-hour traffic. Select a 2-day or 3-day workweek and enjoy a couple days each week to yourself. This is one of our most sought-after positions!

Our teacher assistants in both elementary and early childhood need help! We are seeking a few more folks willing and able to sub once in a while. Prior classroom experience welcome but not required.
