CCLS is a "People-Focused" school, blessed with a vibrant community of teachers, students, parents, grandparents, church members, alumni, and friends who give generously of their time, talents and treasures to enrich our school. By helping in classrooms, attending events, serving on committees, contributing financial gifts, and lifting up CCLS’ ministry in prayer, our community works together to achieve our vision - to transform lives through Christ-centered education!
Families say our community is what sets us apart from other schools. At CCLS, your child is not just a number, they are a Child of God, loved and valued. We strive to not only build each other up, but to encourage one another to be lights of life in this world. Fostering a strong sense of belonging, we believe everyone has a place. Join us and see what we're all about.
TEAMMATES is our volunteer structure, similar to a PTO. The purpose of TEAMMATES is to give supporters a variety of opportunities to step forward in partnership with the school to accomplish our mission. We believe it is critical that every parent, grandparent, or other interested person can find his or her sweet spot, a place where a specific talent can be shared. TEAMMATES offers opportunities to volunteer during the day or night, from home or work, and even on the weekends. The more connected our families become to each other and the life of the school the better. All CCLS parents, grandparents, alumni, and friends are invited to find a place to serve!
Community is our middle name, and we mean it! We love our community and love for people to get actively involved. No matter which campus is your home, we'd love to see you volunteer at any of our five campuses. There are so many ways to get connected, and trust us, you don't want to miss out on meeting the many amazing people we have here in our community. Our families are simply the best, our staff is intentional, loving and caring, our association churches are wonderful leaders of mission and service. Jump into something that ignites your soul!
Over the last 50 years, our volunteers have been beneficial to the growth and success of our school! I had an amazing mom ask me last year if she was volunteering too much, and the short answer to that is absolutely not! You are always welcome, you are always needed. Bring your strengths and lift some souls at the same time. Come see our students giddy with glee to see their parents or grandparents helping out in the lunchroom and wave at your child's friends when they walk down the hallway while you help check out library books. It's so much fun to be a part of these roles!
My name is Kayla Purk, and I am the Community Engagement Coordinator here at CCLS! My family first came here 9 years ago when my oldest son entered kindergarten. All four of my children are students here at CCLS. I have kids in 8th grade, 6th grade, 3rd grade, and 2nd grade. We were on that same journey you have been on to find a great school not only for your kids but for your whole family. I understand how nerve wracking that process can be! It's easily the best decision we've ever made for our kids, and I hope you know your children will be valued, loved and appreciated here!
Since 1974, CCLS has sent out graduates who are strong and secure Christian disciples and witnesses with a foundation of academic excellence. We are proud of the many ways that our alumni have used the talents with which God has blessed them!
We want to stay in touch with our former students. We encourage and welcome you to visit our campus and participate in school events. If you are a CCLS graduate, we ask that you take an opportunity to update your contact information and keep us informed about your families and lives post-graduation by filling out the form at this link.
